Site must be off public highway (on road licences require 14 working days notice + extra fee)

Skip must be:

  • Level loaded
  • Not used for burning
  • Not moved or craned (without prior notification)

Any overloading or damage will incur extra charges.

In accordance with EA legislation, the following items must be excluded from skips:

  • Asbestos (including Man made slates + roofing materials (phone for advice))
  • Contaminated/hazardous materials
  • Tyres/Wheels
  • Gas cylinders/fire extinguishers
  • Tins of paint (OK if lids off & empty and dry)
  • Fluorescent tubes
  • Solvent
  • Liquids & oil
  • Clinical/medical waste
  • Batteries
  • Fridges/Freezers
  • TVs/ Computer Monitors

Soil – We need to ensure that all soil coming into our recycling facility is non-hazardous. To do this we are now asking all our customers who wish to dispose of recyclable materials to fill in our questionnaire. If the recyclable material is coming from a Brownfield site or for those who wish to dispose of large quantities, we may require a chemical analysis test to prove the material is non-hazardous. Dave Peat waste can dispose of the following items by special arrangement, if we are notified at the time that you book the skip. Some items may incur extra charges – please ring for details/

  • Mattresses
  • Microwaves
  • White goods
  • Sofas/Armchairs
  • Plaster board (with conditions, please ask for details)

The hirer is responsible for the skip contents.
DPW will not collect skips with any excluded items and extra charges will be incurred.
